Kuzhai edukkirathu

Kuzhai eduktirathu, meaning literally taking a branch of leaves and sprouts, is a game in which one team attempts to get hold of a small branch of leaves placed in the middle of two teams of players separated from each other by about fifty yards. It is also called adu puli addam (sheep and tiger game) because the one who attempts to take the bunch of leaves is called a sheep and the one who protects him from being touched by the other side is called a tiger.
